Concept, design, and art direction.
In the current geopolitical climate representing the ever-shifting human landscape, the new generation of Europeans isn’t tied up to one specific national identity. Their background combines different cultures, they have a sense of belonging to more than one nation, and they often hold multiple citizenships.
To visually express this colorful blend of global national identities, we arrived at the idea of mix-matching symbols of national identity. The symbols would include national flags, heraldic graphics, letters, brands, and others. We began to envision a new Pan-European identity, an identity that encompasses the many cultures it consists of.
